Jesus cures teh gay

notgay

This is Sy Rogers and he's no longer gay, thanks to Jesus.  He is a regular guest at Hillsong Conferences and his materials are used by Mercy (Murky..?) Ministries to ensure that while women are in their care they aren't tempted into Lesbianism.

Although Mercy Ministries have claimed that they are not anti-gay it is quite obvious that they are, they just like to try obscure that fact..

On its application form, Mercy Ministries used to ask young women if they had been involved in lesbianism, next to the question on whether they had been involved in prostitution. They changed that in 2006 to ask "have you ever been involved in any form of same-sex relationships?".

Another former resident, who did not wish to be identified, said: "Girls were asked on the application form, as well as in a telephone interview, if they have ever had lesbian or bisexual relationships. They asked if I had been involved in drug abuse, witchcraft, or lesbianism. They bunched them in together like that." - Source

..but not very well.  Maybe they are just being careful not to raise the ire of the Anti-Discrimination Commission.

Tell me! What has my Lesbianism got to do with my eating disorder?(note : I am male so not a lesbian, but you get what I mean.)

Homosexuality is an affliction that can be cured, is their reasoning.  It's not part of Gods plan - though the fact it can be observed in the animal kingdom in a myriad of species doesn't seem to back that up. (just entertaining the notion that god exists here for a second)

Frankly the only thing left to shock me about Mercy Ministries would be if it were to be revealed that they used elctro-shock treatment.

As to Homosexuality if it could be shown there was money in having homosexuals  in Church, Hillsong would be on them in a flash.  Because now its okay to be rich though Jesus (what ever happened to the meek shall inherit the earth?)  Pretty soon it'll be okay to sip from the Furry Cup or reach around for JC.

Great work Sean!
Great to see you following through on the Mercy Ministries situation and making a difference!
We need more people like you who take some action, no matter at what level, for common sense to prevail!
Cheers,
Judas.

Thanks Judas. Though Ruth Pollard and the girls that came out are the ones that have made a real difference. I hope that I can along with others keep this story going. To highlight both the inadequacy of services and the danger posed b religious groups in mental health care.

It's not in god's plan?? I thought everything was thought out by god and everything that happens is supposed to? Weird. Didn't god make the gay people?? Sheesh.

I suppose the gay people are cured until they get away from this wacko organization??
